Crosland Names Ford as Vice President of InvestmentsCharlotte, N.C., May 30, 2008 – Crosland LLC, one of the Southeast’s leading real estate companies, has promoted Adam Ford to vice president of investments. As such, he serves as chief operating officer for the Crosland Southeastern Investment Fund, an equity fund created with Northwestern Mutual to facilitate land acquisition for large-scale, long-range investments.
Additionally, Ford is currently raising additional equity capital for new funds related to other types of real estate investments. He reports to Perry Reader, Crosland’s Florida division president and chief investment officer for the Southeastern Investment Fund.
The Crosland Southeastern Investment Fund was capitalized in 2007 to enable approximately $225 million in land acquisition, and potential land and vertical development totaling about $1.5 billion. Already, $100 million in investment capital has been deployed toward three Crosland developments: a transit-oriented urban infill village in Charlotte, an urban infill project in Nashville, Tenn. and a retail/office development opportunity in Denver, N.C. Organizations interested in selling land positions can submit inquiries at crosland.com/investments.
“After six months, the Southeastern Investment Fund is doing exactly what we envisioned, allowing us to leverage additional capital to expand our development pipeline,” said Ford. “For a company like Crosland with a long-range focus, this real estate investment market is ideal for setting up future development opportunities.”
Previously, Ford was vice president of operations for Crosland’s residential division, where he was responsible for project financing as well as property acquisition/disposition strategy and execution. During his four years in that position, he oversaw transactions totaling more than $120 million.

He graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
