Pieratt’s Joins Richmond Centre

Family-Owned Electronic Retailer to Open in Summer 2010; One-Stop-Shop Supercenter Meijer to Open in May

Richmond, Ky., Feb. 1, 2010 – Crosland LLC, one of the Southeast’s leading diversified real estate firms, announces the summer opening of Pieratt’s at Richmond Centre, an 800,000-square-foot regional shopping destination located at I 75 (exit 87) south of Lexington.

A leading family-run electronic and appliance retailer, Pieratt’s will occupy 25,232 square feet adjacent to JC Penney. As the company’s first location outside of Fayette County, Pieratt’s will include quality name-brand home appliances, high-definition televisions, home theater equipment, mattresses, home furnishings and accessories.

For more than 60 years, Pieratt’s has been Central Kentucky’s most trusted source for sales and service of home appliances and electronics. The retailer carries an extensive line of home appliances, from refrigerators to laundry products, as well as home-entertainment products, from televisions to complete, home-theater systems. Many of the items for sale are stored in the company’s Lexington warehouse, which allows for immediate pick-up or same- to next-day deliveries.

Fully staffed with highly-skilled, expertly-trained technicians working with sophisticated electronic equipment, Pieratt’s Service Center is a 19-time award winner of the prestigious “Outstanding Service Award,” presented by the National Association of Retail Dealers of America.

Scheduled to open in May is Meijer, a retailer that operates 190 supercenters throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. Meijer offers a true one-stop shopping experience, as customers can purchase everything from fresh produce and meat products to apparel and gardening equipment. In addition, Meijer offers a comprehensive home goods department as well as a pharmacy.

Located 21 miles south of Lexington and visible from I-75 at exit 87, Richmond Centre is set on a 120-acre tract in central Kentucky and is one of the largest retail destinations between Lexington and Knoxville, Tenn. Just one mile from Eastern Kentucky University, the development will consist of 800,000 square feet of retail space featuring 13 outparcels, 15 acres for two hotels, and 60,000 square feet of office space.
