 Trinity CommonsTrinity Commons will be conveniently located across Erwin Road from Duke University and Duke Medical Center. Trinity Commons is also in close proximity to I40, I85 and NC147 allowing easy access to all points in the Triangle area. This community will consist of 342 luxury apartments with studio, 1 and 2 bedroom floor plan options. Crosland Contracting built Tranquil Court on Selwyn's four-story residential component of a larger mixed-use development, which will be comprised of two buildings on a 2.73-acre site at Selwyn and Tranquil avenues. The residences feature studio, one- and two-bedroom homes ranging from 562 to 1,419 square feet. The building is architecturally inspired by brownstone residences in historic districts such as Boston and Georgetown and will feature a rich palette of exterior materials consistent with the Myers Park aesthetic.
Beyond price and location, the primary draw of the residences will be sun-filled floorplans with spectacular views. Shallow, wide floorplans allow natural light to every room of every unit, reducing power and lighting requirements. Exterior residences will overlook the mature oaks of Myers Park, several of which are being preserved on the site, while interior residences will look out to a private, lush courtyard.
The project utilizes a light-reflective “cool roof” roofing system for energy efficiency. Construction was difficult on this tight site of less than 2 acres built atop a platform parking deck.
