Riverwood Town Center Expands Tenant Mix with Several Upcoming Additions

Evans, Ga., June 17, 2009 – Crosland LLC, one of the Southeast’s leading diversified real estate firms, announces the upcoming addition of several new businesses at Riverwood Town Center: Great Clips, Sky Nails, White House Cleaners and Woody’s Spirits, each of which is expected to open around the end of 2009.

Riverwood Town Center is a Publix-anchored center that serves as the gateway to Riverwood Plantation, a 3,800-acre, master-planned community just west of Augusta off of Washington Road.

Great Clips (1,200 sf), the largest haircutting brand in the United States with 2,700 salons across the country, plans to open at Riverwood Town Center by January 2010. The salon provides various hair-care services including shampoo, cut, style, perm and conditioning treatments in a relaxed environment. Extensively trained, professional stylists provide services to men, women and children with no appointment necessary.

“We chose Riverwood because of Crosland’s reputation as a developer, Publix as a strong anchor tenant and the growth of the Augusta/Evans area,” said Larry Conn, Great Clips franchise owner.

Conn and his wife, Charlene, own one other Great Clips salon in Augusta.

Great Clips offers a vast selection of products to fit any hairstyle. The salon carries three Great Clips-exclusive product lines: Solutions, which was voted No. 1 by Men’s Healthcare Magazine; Tea Tree, which combines all-natural Tea Tree oils and the rejuvenating fragrances of spearmint and peppermint; and Detour, fashion-forward, edgy products designed to take any style to the next level. The salon also provides other top brands such as Matrix, American Crew, Sexy Hair and Redken.

Sky Nails (1,300 sf), which plans to open by the end of 2009, will offer manicure and pedicure services, polish application and waxing. The salon will carry top products including O.P.I. and China Glaze in the latest shades for every season.

White House Cleaners (1,300 sf) will provide dry-cleaning, alteration and laundry services for the customers of Riverwood Town Center. The cleaner plans to open toward the end of the year.

“We’re looking forward to opening another dry cleaner in the area that provides top-quality cleaning and excellent customer service,” said Donna Martin, the owner of White House Cleaners.

Martin, along with her husband, Stanley, owns five other dry cleaners in the Augusta area.

Woody’s Spirits (2,100 sf) will offer alcohol and tobacco sales. The retailer will carry an extensive selection of beer, wine and liquor as well as tobacco products. Woody’s Spirits plans to open in late 2009.

“We’re happy to bring these services and conveniences closer to home for the residents of Riverwood Plantation and other nearby neighborhoods,” said Gwen Glaeser, leasing associate for Crosland. “Riverwood Town Center has been well-received by business owners and customers alike.”
